Measuring the 'S' in ESG for Youth Employment Initiatives

Accenture Development Partnerships (ADP) and Harambee Youth Employment Accelerator have collaborated to design a measurement tool that will enable nongovernmental organisations (NGOs), small and medium-sized enterprises (SMMEs), youth forums and corporates across all sectors to measure and report the “S” in the ESG Framework. To create this tool, ADP and Harambee employed a two-pronged approach: primary and secondary research of measurement practices and needs of both NGOs and corporates. This tool is now available and will provide a standardised method of measuring and reporting the social impact of youth employment programmes. It will also identify gaps and opportunities in youth employment programming to be able to strengthen initiatives and systems change in South Africa and beyond
